AgentOffice, (formerly On-Line Agent, Agent 2000, FNIS Real Estate, RE/MAX Agent 2000, Executive Agent, Century 21 Power Pack, & Keller Williams Online Agent) has been around since 1992. The publisher is now Emphasys Software, although it was formerly owned by FNRES (Fidelity National Real Estate Solutions) / RealtyStar. AgentOffice has had 4 publishers in the last 15 years.

This software is a PC program that connects to eAgentServer for sharing agent information with partners or assistants as well as automatic data backup. A typical agent with 2 assistants would spend $590 the first year (for software and technical support), and $198 each year (for technical support) thereafter. Since upgrades are not included in this cost, they would be extra as they became available. Under the previous publisher, upgrades were kept to a minimum, with version 9 of the software being released in July 2006 and version 10 released in July 2007.

The AgentOffice software is composed of two components. The first piece must be installed on each PC and the second component runs on a server. Upgrades must be installed by hand. One particular notable feature available (for an additional fee) to AgentOffice is MLS integration.

RealtyJuggler, offers the same features available to AgentOffice such as contact management, listings management and scheduling. RealtyJuggler also has additional features such as real estate calculators, tracking of showings, promotions and expenses. The most distinctive advantage RealtyJuggler brings to the party is simplicity. RealtyJuggler runs on any Internet equipped computer, and requires no special installation or configuration. It does not require special installation of software as it runs as a secure web site. Therefore, accessing information from home, at work or anywhere else is simple. Upgrades are applied automatically and are free as is the technical support. Pricing is similarly simple, at a fixed $99 / year per user. For an apples to apples cost comparison for a 3 user license, the yearly cost for RealtyJugger would be $297.

Ths largest difference between the two products is that RealtyJuggler is a web-based online service and Agent Office is an installable Microsoft Windows program. These are two fundamentally different approaches to providing a real-estate software solution. If you are looking for something that looks like a native Microsoft Windows application, then RealtyJuggler won't be what you want. If you are looking for something that looks like a web application, then AgentOffice won't make you happy. Each approach has its own benefits, but in the end it comes down to personal preference.
